Hervey Bay cricket sensation Grace Collins is making a name for herself as a skilled middle order batter.

The 13-year-old recently made her First-Grade cricket debut for the Sunshine Coast Scorchers.
I chatted to Grace for Alive Magazine Fraser Coast recently.

It was really encouraging to speak to a young cricket player who already has her sights set on achieving as much as she can at the wicket.
Grace told me her ultimate goal would be to play professionally for the Brisbane Heat and Australia.

She said knowing current Australian cricket player Beth Mooney went to the same school as her is proof cricketers from the Fraser Coast can represent at the highest level.
It was also refreshing to interview such a polite and confident teenager – made event more evident by the fact that she made time for me before school, taking her busy school and training schedule into account.
